Space Hackathon

On November 18 and 19, 2022, an international space Hackathon took place in the area of UVP TECHNICOM at Němcova 5 in Košice. Students whose strengths are programming, working with data, creating a business plan or design were able to apply. Participants formed their own team, chose one of the open challenges and had 24 hours to hack their project.

The event was attended by 60 participants divided into 13 teams. One of the competition teams was formed by 5 students of PF UPJŠ.

Projects of winning teams: 

• Spaceship collision avoidance
• Space debris detection system
• Sustainable navigation at sea

Members of the winning Space Wardens team will represent Slovakia at the ActInSpace international hackathon in Cannes.
