Kosice in the Cloud Vol. 8

On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, another episode of the meetup Kosice in the Cloud took place at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in the Minerva building in collaboration with Kosice IT Valley, Infinite Lambda, Caterpillar and Data Analytics Meetings. The event was hosted by Mr. Dominik Simco.

What about programme?

• The first presentation was led by Andrea Hronská Hužvárová z Infinite Lambda, who focused on efficient data testing using the dbt tool. She presented advanced testing capabilities beyond basic checks, as well as packages such as dbt-utils and dbt-expectations, which significantly simplify the daily work of analytics teams. The lecture also included a practical demonstration of how to implement tests on a real-world project, which helped participants better understand how to build trust in data through automation.
• The second lecture was given by David Thorvaldsen z Caterpillar, who demonstrated how to use LRP (Layerwise Relevance Propagation) to understand what goes on “under the hood” of complex AI models. In a practical part, Mr. David Thorvaldsen created an interactive GUI application using GenAI and GitHub Copilot.
