DAM: Sunset or Sunrise of GenAI and LLM Prototyping: Recap
On 20.11.2024, the event was held again under the auspices of IBM Slovakia at The Faculty of Science of the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice!
The workshop started right after the registration at 14:00 with an opening speech. The first lecture entitled „Traditional AI versus GenAI“ by Renáta Ujháziová introduced participants to the world of AI. The lecture explained the differences between traditional AI and GenAI to the participants as well as highlighted the potential of GenAI in content creation and process acceleration. This was followed by an inspiring discussion on the benefits and challenges which these technologies bring.
The meeting continued with more exciting lectures according to the schedule:

- Gregor Resing: Leveraging genAI assistants to support software development process (17:30 – 18:10)
- Daniel Buchta: Quantum-Ready AI (18:20 – 18:50)
Parallel to the lectures, there was the Workshop: LLM Prototyping, led by Marián Ferenc, Application Architect at CIC IBM Slovakia. The aim of the workshop was to show participants how to set up, deploy and use LLM locally on different types of tasks using Rancher Desktop, Ollama and Python 3.12.
